Blue Heron

Photography has always been a passion of mine.  I always keep my camera handy.  I was preparing dinner on Easter day of 2010 and happened to glance out the window.  I spotted a blue heron checking out the fish in our pond (my husband was not thrilled about that!).  I grabbed my Canon 50D and walked slowly down the hill to the pond.  I was able to watch and take pictures for around 20 minutes until our dogs, Cloe and Hank, came barreling down the hill.  At first I was upset with them.  But it actually paid off.  I was able to capture the great blue heron in flight.
